PHorum is Santa Barbara’s annual healthcare symposium where national, regional, and local health care leaders share and discuss relevant issues that impact our community. The 9th Annual PHorum: WISDOM OF GRIEF will be offered in person at the Lobero Theatre and via live-stream on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 6, 2022.
WISDOM OF GRIEF presented by the HUTTON PARKER FOUNDATION will feature four notable speakers and a panel discussion moderated by Jerry Roberts to explore grief from a cultural, spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional perspective. Participants will learn about the range of grief and its impact on our wellbeing, ways to promote health through the grief journey, and tools to support grieving individuals. There will be an exhibit area for mental wellness resources from community providers.
VNA Health was founded more than a century ago by an exceptional woman, Marian Watts, and a group of public-spirited and far-sighted women. Our community has been blessed to have remarkable women and compassionate caregivers who have shaped the legacy of our community’s character, health, and ability to live well. In honor of these amazing women and mothers in our community, we gather each year at our distinguished Mother’s Day Luncheon to celebrate two mothers – one living and one in memory – and to share our gratitude for their lives and contributions to our community.
On FRIDAY, MAY 6, 2022, VNA Health celebrated Honored Mother KEIKO DUNHAM and Remembered Mother MARCELLA RINEHART PARKER at our beloved 21st Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon presented by LADY LESILE RIDLEY-TREE. These women epitomize compassion, kindness, and generosity — traits of the remarkable women who founded VNA Health in Santa Barbara more than 113 years ago. Click through to watch the replay and celebrate these women with music, dance, and love!

Each year, the Santa Barbara Yacht Club (SBYC) comes together to race and raise funds to support VNA Health's mission of caring with compassion and integrity. This year SBYC will host its 18th Annual Charity Regatta on Saturday, September 10, 2022, once again benefiting VNA Health. If compassion and care were the only currency needed to sustain VNA Health’s services, we would provide them in abundance. However, as a nonprofit we rely on your support to continue delivering exceptional care for our families, friends, and neighbors, who depend on these services to live well at every stage of life. By supporting the 2022 Regatta you are making the gift of subsidized and charitable services and programs to our community.

Every year, VNA Health hosts our annual Angels Among Us remembrance services in December. Angels Among Us is a special offering over the holidays to honor and remember those who live in our memories. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our 2021 Angels Among Us service was a virtual service that included music, heartwarming reflections, and an opportunity to remember loved ones at home and online in our Candlelight Virtual Tribute. During the Holidays, the need for bereavement support is greatest, as memories and traditions can bring up grief and loss.
